Acceptance into Candidature 2012

The evening of June 16th 2012 saw the acceptance into the Candidature of the Salvatorians of 16 brothers, 9 from the Philippines and 6 others from Vietnam, Indonesia, and Malaysia respectively. This simple yet significant ceremony to those being accepted was held in during the praying of the Solemn Vespers in the Father Jordan Formation House.
It was graced with the presence of the East-Asian Vicariate Superior, Rev. Fr. Christopher Kowalczyk, SDS. The candidates were presented with a pin-badge depicting the image of Jesus as the Divine Savior and also the abbreviation of our society, SDS.

For all the candidates this was a very important moment of their vocation, since this was the first step that they are taking into the formation process of being a Salvatorian priest, and the significance was added all the more as the ceremony was held on the birthday of the Founder of the Society, Fr. Francis Mary of the Cross Jordan himself.
This has been a truly blessed time for everyone in the Salvatorian family. We remember our brothers who have answered the invitation of Jesus Christ, the Savior to bring the message of salvation even unto the ends of the earth through the Salvatorian Mission.
Let us pray that our brothers persevere in their vocation with the grace of God, having a love of the Savior and His Blessed Mother, and work through the coming years of their vocation to join the rest of us in this Society in bringing the Good News of life and carrying the message of Fr. Francis Jordan to peoples of all ages, cultures and lifestyles.
