The community in the East Asia celebrated the 128^th Foundation Anniversary of the Society with thankful hearts for the immense graces the Savior continues to shower it.  This year is a very important stage in the life of the community as they receive new status, becoming Mission Vicariate.  This entails significant improvements in the many aspects of the community in East Asia.

The celebration began with the Solemn Eucharistic Mass which was presided by Rev. Fr. Adam Janus, SDS together with all the Salvatorian Priests in East Asia and all the brothers and some guests.  In the celebration, the official proclamation of the change of the status was made as well as the announcement of the new leadership where Fr. Chris made his oath as the new Superior of the Mission Vicariate.  With him is Fr. Adam Janus as Vicar, and Fr. Artur as Consultor.

The Mass was followed by a community picture taking and a sumptuous lunch.  In the afternoon, a solemn Prayer Service was held in honor of  Ven. Fr. Francis Mary of the Cross Jordan.  This event is indeed a remarkable moment in the history of the society in the East Asia, and as we change our status to Mission Vicariate, it is hoped to lead everyone to a more dynamic involvement in striving to become better Salvatorians.
