Feast Of Languages

We Salvatorians fathers and brothers celebrated the feast day of languages on January 9, 2011 at the Talon formation house. As we gathered in the study room, we saw 8 flags for the eight countries with members here: Germany, Poland, America, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, China, Indonesia, and the Philippines in our congregation. The ninth flag was Vatican flag which meant that even though there were different nations, languages and cultures, we all are connected with one church, one body of Christ. Every country had a presentation, with the emcees being Brother Joseph Tri from novice house and some from the Talon house. A little of each country's history and tradition was shown under the inspiration of Father Francis Jordan, the founder of our congregation. According to Father Artur, this feast languages had been done twice before. For the final part of the program, novice brothers distributed the new song and prayer books, "Salvator" which were compiled by them, especially through the hard work of Brother Dominic Dung.
